This bread is great for sandwich bread, slicing into thick strips for French toast, or even making bread bowls for chili and soups. Very easy recipe that produces lots of bread, be warned!

  • 2 tablespoons Yeast
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons White Vinegar
  • 2 1/2 cups Warm Water
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/3 cup Oil (I use Canola or Vegetable oil, whichever I have on hand)
  • 6 - 7 cups All Purpose Flour

1. Mix Yeast, Sugar, Vinegar, and Warm Water in large bowl and let set for 10 minutes, until frothy
2. Add Salt, Oil, and 2 cups of the Flour, if using a mixer, start on low speed
3. Add in the remaining flour, 1 cup at a time until the dough is solid enough to handle
4. Turn out onto floured surface and knead for 3-5 minutes
5. Place into lightly greased bowl and let rise until it reaches the brim, punch down 2 times
6. Separate the dough into desired form (rolls, loaves, etc.) and place on greased baking sheets
7. Let dough rise for 30 minutes in warm location
8. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes
9. When the top of the loaf is golden brown and hard, remove from oven and let cool

This recipe is very versatile and easy.
